Stumbling on to a great idea for a new invention, I had no clue where to start the process. I was lucky to have a friend who knew Steven Fairchild and previously worked with him before!

I made the initial call to Steven and explained my product to him. He was very interested to see what I had created as a prototype and suggested a meeting to discuss further my invention. Our meeting went very well. He presented the information necessary and answered my questions. He explained the overall process of creating a provisional and a non-provisional patent and any difficulties that could be foreseen. He was honest and gave Criticism as needed to protect and to get the best results out of my patent and product. Leaving the meeting we both were assigned with duties to complete to start the process. It was great to meet a professional who guided me along to protect my product and steer me in the right direction for the best results all around. This was exciting! Steven has made the time to answer any questions I had along the way and has fought and rooted for my patent and product since we met. He is passionate about his work and his clients and I am very thankful to have met him!

Thanks Steve!

“First thing we do, let’s kill all the lawyers.”

-Dick the Butcher, HENRY VI, Part 2, by William Shakespeare

If Shakespeare had known Steve Fairchild, he might never have written this line.

Steve is intelligent, thoughtful, competent, thorough, kind, courteous, sincere, patient, and loyal. He has an integrity of the highest degree.

He treats both the officers of the court and his opponents with respect and courtesy, even if it is not reciprocated.

Steve’s blackbelt-level martial arts background serves as a touchstone for his approach to dispute resolution. Of course, it is always better to avoid the fight if possible. However, after exhausting all other avenues, Steve does not back down from litigation.

He will stand in front of you with his shield and sword, protecting you, even to his own personal detriment. He places his clients above himself, which is an absolute rarity in our world.

Steve has represented me in three matters in the New York courts. One is still pending. The other two? We prevailed.

My name is Mark Peterson and I am the owner of a novel called Dusty’s Adventures. This novel is a children’s fantasy book that was written for my children’s charity tour which showcased my horse, Dusty.

My team was sued by someone who tried to take away our ability to travel the country and visit the children. It was a copyright infringement case that Steven took on with a vengeance! His knowledge of due process and copyright law helped greatly to win and get this book back on the market.

Now we can start doing good in this world. Thank you very much Steve for standing by us!

"Fairchild Law helped me review and understand the contract with a streaming service Boyish that has now added my short film to their media library. As a foreign filmmaker originally from Ukraine, I felt overwhelmed by the required paperwork and was prepared to turn down the opportunity. I have been burned before and would never enter into a contract without fully understanding it. I am so glad I consulted Steven Fairchild regarding this project."

"We worked exclusively with Steve to pursue a contractor who had defaulted on his promise to carry out work. Steve compiled the all the necessary documents which enabled us to receive a winning judgement in court. Steve's organizational detail and legal ability is what made the difference in securing a judgement in our favor. The whole process was seamlessly managed and flawlessly executed."
